Moab Utah – Photography Blog USA Trip
Day 1 in Moab – Dead horse and Canyonlands
Photography blog day fifteen – Having arrived in Moab after a crazy long drive we had a sleep in before heading out scouting some photo locations. We focused on Canyonlands National Park and Dead Horse Point State Park today and they didn’t disappoint.
Mesa arch is an iconic Canyonlands sunrise photo spot but neither of us were feeling it. Basically Dead Horse Point just blew us away so we prioritized this location over others in the limited time we had.
It was still a nice day but we were pretty excited as the clouds started rolling in at sunset. Given that Dead Horse Pt is both a sunrise and sunset location we headed back there in the evening.
The light and clouds were fantastic but it was REALLY windy. We sought shelter as best as we could using rocks, while still trying to capture an amazing landscape.
This place will go down as one of my favorites after the Grand Tetons. I can’t wait to head back for sunrise in the morning.
